Emma Stone plays seriously-injured character being airlifted

Emma Stone was spotted filming a dramatic scene for her new film AND in New Orleans on Saturday.

The actress, 34, played a seriously injured character who was being transported onto an air ambulance.

A weary-looking Emma lay on a stretcher as ‘paramedics’ wheeled her onto the helicopter, with one even preparing an IV for her.

Serious condition: Emma Stone was spotted filming a dramatic scene for her new film AND in New Orleans on Saturday

She closed her eyes as her co-stars assembled around her, all dressed in uniform and tending to her.

One of her co-stars, who appeared to be actor Jesse Plemons, appeared to be playing her love interest. As Emma lay weakened on the stretcher, he placed a comforting kiss on her hand.

The actor, dressed as a police officer, stroked Emma’s forehead as ‘paramedics’ wheeled her towards the helicopter.

In reality, Emma was all good once cameras stopped rolling.

She appeared to be flashing a smile once she was settled inside the helicopter – a stark contrast to her more frail appearance earlier.

Meanwhile, a film crew was all assembled, recording the scene as it unfolded several feet away.

Little is known about the plot of AND, but the film features an all-star cast with shooting expected to last until mid-December.

The project was first announced in late September, revealing that Stone and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn will reunite with their writer-director from The Favourite, Yorgos Lanthimos.

They are joined by an ensemble cast that includes Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe, Hong Chau and Mamoudou Athie.

Lanthimos is directing from a script he co-wrote with Efthimis Filippou (Dogtooth, The Killing Of a Sacred Deer), with plot details being kept under wraps.

Stone was spotted earlier this summer in Santa Fe, New Mexico filming her Showtime series The Curse, which she stars in and executive produces.

The show is described as, ‘a genre-bending scripted comedy that explores how an alleged curse disturbs the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their problematic new HGTV show.’

Stone stars alongside Nathan Fielder, co-creator Benny Safdie, Barkhan Abdi, Constance Shulman and Corbin Bernsen.

She also has yet another Yorgos Lanthimos film in post-production, entitled Poor Things, adapted from the novel by Alasdair Gray.

Stone stars alongside Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef and Jerrod Carmichael.

The actress is also attached to reprise her title role in a sequel to last year’s Disney hit Cruella.
