Emma Weymouth EXCL: Star has wanted ‘to be on Strictly her entire life’

She is preparing to take to the dance floor as one of the fifteen celebrities fighting for the winning title.

And Emma Weymouth, 33, has exclusively revealed to MailOnline that she has been wanting to strut her stuff on Strictly Come Dancing for years despite ‘it being a whole new world’ to the Viscountess. 

Speaking at the 2019 press launch for the BBC show, which took place at Television Studios on Bank Holiday Monday, the star also shared that she is ‘excited’ yet ‘apprehensive’ about the journey ahead.

Opening up on how starring on the dancing series has long been a dream of hers, the brunette told MailOnline: ‘Training’s amazing, it’s really challenging. I’m not a trained dancer actually – so it’s a totally new world, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do my entire life.’

Discussing about being selected as part of the line-up, she gushed: ‘It’s incredible, it’s absolutely incredible to be here and I’m so excited and so apprehensive for the next bit.

‘It’s just magical world of glamour fun.’

The beauty also touched on the bonds that are forming between her and her co-stars since, beginning rehearsals, as she added they are all having: ‘lots of fun backstage, we laugh a lot and were having a good time.’

For the special event, Emma oozed class and sophistication in a midi-dress that featured a full skirt puffed up by a netted underskirt.

The pretty pink garment was decorated with a floral design and boasted a plunging neckline. 

Emma, who was born in London to a British mother and Nigerian father, was raised in South Kensington before going on to attend University College London where she studied History of Art.

In 2013 she married Ceawlin Thynn, Viscount Weymouth, who is the heir of the 7th Marquess of Bath, Alexander Thynn, 87, and became the chatelaine of the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire.

The chef gave birth to her first child, the Honourable John Alexander Ladi Thynn, in October 2014.

She then went on to welcome his little brother, the Honourable Henry Richard Isaac Thynn, via surrogate at a private clinic in West Hollywood in December 2016.

In addition to being a contributing editor for British Vogue, Emma also makes regular appearances as a guest chef on James Martin’s Saturday Morning TV show and in 2015 launched Emma’s Kitchen at Longleat.

Her appearance comes as the BBC ballroom series announced that the show is set to return to the broadcaster on Saturday, September 7.

It’s all go at Strictly HQ as they also released their first teaser ahead of the first show next month.

The reality show offered fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the upcoming promo, which stars the pros in an array of theatrical costumes.

The new clip teases Anton Du Beke, Katya Jones, Kevin Clifton, and AJ Pritchard preparing for the first look.
