Emmerdale viewers left in shock and ‘feeling old’ as Sarah Sugden’s age is revealed on the ITV soap 

Emmerdale viewers were left feeling old as Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) age was revealed on the ITV soap on Tuesday. 

The family gathered to celebrate her milestone birthday in the latest episode, initially pretending they had all forgotten about it. 

However, Sarah was saddened that her mother Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) wouldn’t be visiting her from Scotland. 

Debbie did send her daughter a birthday card on her big day and promised her holiday to Spain.  

ITV fans though were distracted from the news as they learned Sarah’s age, who was originally born on the hit soap.

She has grown up on the ITV show since her birth in 2005 and has only briefly had time away in her teenage years. 

During the latest episode it was confirmed Sarah is now 18 years old and it is 18 years to the day that her mother Debbie dramatically gave birth to her in the woods. 

Fans took to Twitter to say they could remember her as a baby and ‘felt old’ knowing how old she is after watching her for years. 

One penned: ‘Sarah Sugden is 18 now? WOW. I’m getting old.’

Another wrote: ‘How is Sarah 18 already? She was like 12 yesterday’. 

A third said: ‘She’s 18? Still only looks 14 ffs.’  

‘I can’t believe Sarah turns 18 next week,’ added another. 

Another penned: ‘Wow, Sarah’s 18, how time flies. Seems like just yesterday a teenage Debbie was walking her around the village in a pram…’
