The Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual: For Everyone from Beginner to Pro was on my Christmas list in 2008. I spent the whole day glued to it. Through my blog, The Anna Edit, I was invited to meet Bobbi – she was so warm and wise.
My husband Mark and I have been together for ten years. Our wedding in 2017 was low budget – we had the reception in our flat in Brighton and my dress was simple. I spent a large part of the money on these Gianvito Rossi leopard-print heels.
This picture of my parents, Steve and Jane, was taken in their first flat in Brighton. When Mark and I were flat-hunting, we actually ended up looking around it, which was a special moment.
My grandparents Ann and John gave us this glasses and jug set from the 1970s when we got married last year. I didn’t even know that they had them – I think they are so cool. We used the glasses on the day and try to enjoy them as much as possible.
We love board games in our family. When I moved out, I acquired this Scrabble board from the 1950s and a 70s Mastermind game from my parents. We’re all competitive and I have a games cupboard dedicated to them. We’re into Uno at the moment.
When I graduated in 2012 with a psychology degree, my parents kindly said that they’d buy me an HD camera to help me with my beauty blogging hobby. After the ceremony, we bought this Canon EOS 600D and it really upped my game. Two years later I began blogging full time.
My younger sister Megan bought me this metal rabbit doorstop for a birthday one year. Growing up, we had rabbits, but only because she petitioned so hard for them, writing daily letters begging my parents and leaving them under their pillows!
My Nanny Dorothy, who died five years ago, was so creative. She had three granddaughters and she put together a set of things that she had made or treasured to pass on to us after she died. We each got a tapestry, a needlepoint cushion and a piece of Poole Pottery.
