I started making YouTube beauty videos ten years ago. At that time, the make-up shades that suited me were only made by expensive brands and, like many women, I was frustrated at having to pay more for being darker skinned. YouTube sent me this plaque when I hit 100,000 subscribers.

These are my daughter Grace’s footprints. She’s two and a half. I filmed my birthing experience and it’s got 1.6 million views on YouTube now. I kept it very raw and very real. Grace’s personality is just like mine – a force to be reckoned with.

After our honeymoon, Mike and I started travelling a lot more. I love cooking so I always pick up a bowl from wherever we go. These are from the Greek island of Santorini – we went there before it became fashionable. I make pancake batter in them.

My husband Mike and I got married quite young – I was 24. Our wedding in London in 2012 was a lot of fun. Mike’s dad’s speech was hilarious – he made a reference to the Brit Pop Princess, my name on YouTube at the time. I didn’t know that he knew.

This is my first pair of designer shoes. I had saved up and was so proud of myself when I bought them. It was my first investment as a fashion and beauty influencer. They say, ‘I’ve made it in fashion – I’ve got my Louboutins!’

I bought this Michael Kors watch when I was 21 and training for my new graduate job in the City. It cost about £150, which was a lot of money for me then. I was a career girl for five years before I became a full-time YouTuber.

I’m not green-fingered but my mother-in-law Helen is. She loves to come over to see how my plants, such as this swiss cheese, are doing. She’ll even call to ask about them. I live in the suburbs of London so it’s nice to have some greenery.

This picture is of me as a baby with my mother Victoria. After my sister Maureen was born my mum always wanted us to match and put us in the same pink flowery dresses with bows in our hair. We looked like flower girls 24/7.
