I’m extremely proud of Pixiwoo’s book Face – a make-up how-to guide for beginners. It took a lot of work and became a bestseller. Although we are based online I’m of the era that likes to have something physical in their hands – I love magazines and print.

This is the engraved mahogany box my husband Ian [Haste] used to propose to me in 2010. It was in a bag with a heart padlock and the code was the date that we met. Inside were chocolates and the engagement ring.

I bought this print by Sandra Chevrier when I moved from London to Norwich in 2012. It was the first time that I was able to buy art and still afford to eat. I have two prints by her – I didn’t realise then that she was such a big artist.

It is tradition to give paper as a gift for your first wedding anniversary so Ian bought me the sheet music of our first dance: James Morrison’s ‘You Make It Real’. When Sam and I became successful it went to our heads a bit and Ian brought me back to earth.

My late grandad Bill made this grandfather clock. He used to take himself off to his garage to make them in his spare time. He died in 2011 on the day I discovered that I was pregnant with a boy, so Harry’s middle name is Bill.

My sister [and Pixiwoo partner] Sam and I collect these Starbucks mugs wherever we go in the world. I have about 15 of them – the latest is from Qatar. They are  a memory of what we’ve done together and how far we have come in business and life.

Sam and I do a lot of meet and greets, and every time I hug someone who I think smells amazing, they’re wearing Portrait of a Lady by Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle. When I did actress Allison Janney’s make-up for this year’s Baftas she was wearing it, too, so I knew I had to buy it.

My children Harry, seven, and Edie, six, look so cute in this school picture. Edie’s hair is a bit raggedy – she’s the image of me at that age – and Harry is well put together, like his dad. They argue but are so loyal to each other.
