Endeavour Hills stabbing: Monique Lezsak’s friends reveal her daughter’s brave act

An injured girl has been hailed a hero after she tried valiantly to protect her mum  involved in an alleged confrontation with her partner.

Sven Lindemann, 52, a German-born fitness fanatic, remains under police guard in hospital after his partner Monique Lezsak, 39, died from stab wounds at her parents’ home in Endeavour Hills in Melbourne’s south-east on Tuesday morning.

Ms Lezsak’s 10-year-old twins, a boy and girl, were both home at the time of the alleged attack.

The girl bravely attempted to intervene in the alleged confrontation involving her mother and Lindemann, according to Ms Lezsak’s heartbroken friends.

The girl suffered cuts to her arm and was taken to hospital in a stable condition. She has since been released.

‘She’s definitely a hero in all our eyes,’ Jacqueline Schwarcz said.

‘She’s physically good but obviously as family we’re just going to surround her and support her through this because this is not something that we know how to navigate.’

Ms Lezsak regarded her children as ‘the most important thing in her life.

‘Most importantly, she was the best mum,’ Ms Schwarcz added.

‘She was so kind, she lived for her kids.

‘Every single day, it was just about her kids and she made sure she gave them experience and fun.’

Another friend described Ms Lezsak as quiet and reserved who had recently started her own beauty product business and was optimistic about the future.

‘She was an elite athlete who trained rain, hail or shine and nothing would get in the way of her gym session. I really took inspiration from her commitment to her passion,’ Jade Roberts told The Age.

The pair would often go on trail walks together after dropping their kids off at school.

‘We felt we were the mums that didn’t quite fit in and that’s how we bonded. It was just an instant, beautiful connection,’ Ms Roberts said.

‘Conversations with her were always the calm within the storm of parenting young kids. We’d drop the kids off and go for a trail walk. That was our thing.’

Lindemann, a German-born bodybuilder from Adelaide, is a self-confessed ‘gym junkie’ whose multiple social media accounts show an obsession with fitness, end of the world conspiracy theories, UFOs and aliens, and subjects like ‘universal consciousness’ and ‘mind energy’.

Lindemann, who is the father of two children of his own who live in South Australia, was dating Ms Lezsak for several months before her death. He had only recently returned from a trip to his native Germany.

It comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed on Wednesday that Lindemann wrote ‘don’t forget that you are going to die… and you don’t know when’ in an Instagram post days before his partner’s death.

Ms Lezsak and Sven exchanged several admiring posts on Instagram in the weeks leading up to police being called to the mother-of-two’s parents’ home in Kassan Gardens at Endeavour Hills on Tuesday night.

Mr Lindemann, who is formerly from South Australia and is understood to be the slain woman’s new boyfriend, has as part of his Instagram biography the words, ‘don’t f*** with my vibe’.

The Instagram message about death was on a list of ’10 bitter truths’ posted by the self-described gym junkie, about ‘mortality, happiness and material wealth’.

The day before the alleged stabbing murder, Sven posted a strange video of an apartment’s fisheye security door camera, and his earlier posts include statements about death, destiny and being an ‘alpha male’.

On May 20, Ms Lezsak admired a photograph Sven posted of himself during a visit to Germany, where he toured World War II bunkers, Hamburg and his home town.

She spent time with a bodybuilder female friend in Queensland before returning to reunite with Sven in Melbourne, him posting ‘Bring that peach home already’ and her replying ‘coming babe’.

On April 23, she had posted about spending time with Sven, writing ‘Weekend away with you’  with a love heart and the hashtags ‘#datenight #dinner #fun #laughs’.

In other posts, Sven calls himself an ‘alpha male’ and writes ‘hard times don’t last but hard men do’.

The couple also posted on Instagram about training hard to bulk up their muscles and become leaner.

Sven is in hospital in a serious condition with ‘life threatening’ upper body injuries, Victoria Police confirmed.

The Victorian homicide squad is investigating but detectives have said they are not looking for anyone else, with the 52-year-old man under police guard at The Alfred Hospital the only suspect.

Anyone with information or CCTV of the incident is urged to contact police.
