England take on the United States at Wembley this evening as Wayne Rooney prepares to say farewell to international football.

The former Manchester United and Everton striker has come out of international retirement to represent his country one more time. England’s record goalscorer will start on the bench but has been handed the No 10 shirt and will take the captain’s armband when he comes on to earn his 120th cap.

The United States, meanwhile, are in major transition following their failure to reach the World Cup but boast a number of exciting young stars, including Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.
