England will announce their final squad of the summer on Tuesday when they name those selected to feature in the three-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan in Manchester.
Due to a saturated fixture schedule and the need to maintain separate bio-secure environments as part of Covid-19 safety measures, England have kept different sets of players for five-day and white-ball formats.
However, that will alter for the T20 and one-day international series against Australia next month, with a limited number of those involved exclusively in Test cricket poised to feature.

Ben Stokes, who was yesterday still awaiting international clearance to fly out to be with his ill father Ged in New Zealand, is not expected to be among them.
Meanwhile, Essex’s Simon Harmer could make a return to international cricket with South Africa after his England ambitions were closed by the end of Kolpak cricketers.
The 31-year-old off-spinner, named county cricket’s most valuable player in 2019, was hoping to qualify for England on residency before the latest rule change. Now talks with the Proteas are on the agenda.
