Eric Trump and his animal-loving wife Lara joined Georgina Bloomberg at the second annual Rescue Dogs Rock gala in New York City on Tuesday.
The couple was seen cuddling their beagle Charlie and rescue dog Ben while posing for pictures on the red carpet at the event that raised funds and awareness to help homeless animals in need, a cause that is near and dear to Lara’s heart.
Lara, 37, co-chaired the gala with Georgina, the 36-year-old daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is reportedly reconsidering a run for president.

The billionaire has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, and he announced last October that he had changed his political party affiliation to Democratic, which he had previously been registered as prior to 2001.
Bloomberg has reportedly said that that he would make a last-minute entry into the Democratic primary if he could be assured of winning the nomination.
He has told friends and associated he is ‘still looking at’ running for president, but only if president Joe Biden’s campaign takes a hit or he pulls out early in the primary, according to a report by CNBC.
Despite the awkwardness of Trump and Bloomberg potentially facing off in the 2020 election, Lara and Georgina appeared to overcome any differences they may have to co-chair the gala together.

The co-chairs opted for two completely looks, with Lara donning a navy suit and Georgina wearing a sparkly dress.
Lara’s wore her navy blazer over a white crewneck top and navy culotte pants, topping off the ensemble with a pair of silver pointed-toe stilettos.
Her long highlighted blonde hair was styled loosely around her shoulders, and she sported a smartwatch and a bangle on her wrist.
Georgina, meanwhile, modeled a glittering off-the-shoulder pencil dress with a slit, which she wore with a pair of platform open-toe heels featuring two thick straps.

When the 35-year-old wasn’t holding his dog Charlie, he cradled a small puppy who he seemed to take a liking to. He was seen petting the rescue pup while Georgina was holding him in her arms.
The gala was likely a special event for Eric and Lara as Rescue Dogs Rock NYC helped connect them with their dog Ben, whom they welcomed into their family three years ago.
The stray beagle was so sick and covered with mange when he was brought to City of San Antonio Animal Care Services in April 2016 that he had to stay at a veterinary hospital for a month.

The picture was undoubtedly precious, but some were worried that Luke might have injured Carolina if he accidentally stepped or fell on her.
It seems as though Lara anticipated the concern when she added a disclaimer to her caption.
