Erin Molan is worried her Channel Nine employees may not be too chuffed after learning the due date of his first child.

Speaking to hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt on Thursday, the 35-year-old revealed: ‘my timing is horrendous, as per usual with most things in life.’

She also admitted to being out of her depth in the first-time parenting department, quipping: ‘I’m totally stuffed, I don’t know what I’m doing.’

Erin’s previous update saw her confirming she was in her second trimester, although the exact date range was still unknown to the public.

During the interview, she revealed: ‘I’m due to give birth around State Of Origin 1.’

‘I’m sure work’s really happy with my timing,’ she added.

But at the end of the day, Erin says she is just happy she was fortunate enough to fall pregnant, as ‘so many of her friends have struggled.’

But with all the expectations placed on first-time mums, the journalist says she is nervous.

‘I just keep Googling “how to keep a baby alive after birth” ‘ and not much comes up so I’m totally stuffed, I don’t know what I’m doing,’ she said.

‘Hopefully instinct kicks in but we’ll see… It hasn’t served me well in the past’

Erin also responded to criticism regarding her appointment as the host of a revamped Footy Show, with some fans outraged that Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin was axed.

She was asked: ‘How are you handling all the Facebook stuff, everyone was like “no you can’t get rid of Fatty” have you had a chat to him? Has that calmed down?’

The personality had nothing but praise for her former co-host: ‘Fatty and I are incredibly close we speak all the time,’ she said.

‘He’s been amazing for me throughout my entire time on the show and if Fatty didn’t accept me and support me I wouldn’t still be on the show.’

Erin explained why she couldn’t respond specifically to the social media backlash his ousting caused.

‘When it comes to the other stuff and the stuff on Facebook: I don’t look at any of it – I stopped doing it years ago,’ she said.

‘I’m happy for everyone to have an opinion and I don’t need to be liked by anyone but I don’t also need to be reading it every day because it’s just not good for you.’

Erin had previously revealed she was due to welcome her first child with fiancé Sean Ogilvy in June.

Rugby League’s State Of Origin 1 takes place on the 6th of June.
