Erin Molan to brush off Footy Show ‘feud’ with Andrew Johns as she starts a new gig hosting RADIO on 2GB
- Erin Molan announced a news and sports show with 2GB host Natalie Peters
- The pair’s broadcast will be very different to the ‘boys club’ Footy Show
- It comes after Johns kept his distances during the NRL Grand Final broadcast
Footy Show star Erin Molan is set to push her alleged feud with Andrew Johns to the sidelines as she signs on for a deal in radio.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the Footy Show presenter announced her new venture with Sydney’s 2GB alongside Natalie Peters during the weekend afternoons.
The program will be broadcast across the country and will still give Molan a space to discuss sports away from the rumoured ‘boys club’ of the Footy Show.

The 37-year-old TV star uploaded an image of the happy pair sitting at her new desk at 2GB and cheekily hashtagged the post ‘find someone who looks at you like Nat looks at me’.
Peters also eyed the hash tag writing: ‘Caught fan girling – can’t wait to be back on air with this chick. Always a laugh’.
The rumoured feud with Johns was only exacerbated after the two kept themselves at entirely different ends of the field during the NRL Grand Final broadcast.
Throughout the game Molan kept to the boundary side for her reports while Johns featured on the four-man panel.
The weekend time slot will no doubt make it easier for the sports journalist to keep up her TV commitments.
The rumoured feud between Andrew Johns (pictured) and Molan dominated headlines after the Immortal is said to have told Nine staff he found her difficult to work with
It comes after Johns allegedly told Nine staff he found Molan to be difficult to work with and would not put his name to statements supporting her.
‘He just doesn’t like working with her,’ a television source told Daily Mail Australia.
That source said Johns’ biggest gripes were that Molan giggled and spoke over him and other Nine personalities when they were talking about football.
Another source close to Johns said he did not know when the problems between the pair began but the footballing great would not be backing down.
Many felt the rumours were further confirmed after NRL Grand Final featured both of the sports presenters but with Johns (right) sitting on the panel and Molan working on the boundary
‘Joey is a stubborn bastard,’ the source said. ‘If somewhere along the line she’s p***ed him off he’ll probably carry it around for the rest of his life.’
Daily Mail Australia understands Johns point-blank refused requests by the Nine publicity department to put his name to gushing statements supporting Molan.
The controversy lead to backlash towards Molan with one fan writing: ‘I would much prefer an immortal who can read and dissect the game and call things most others can’t see than someone who has never played the game and reads the autocue’.
Fellow celebrities and friends of Molan lashed out at the response with Karl Stefanovic branding the fans ‘gutless keyboard warriors’.
It is believed that Johns simply did not enjoy working with Molan due to an apparent tendency to giggle and speak over him during broadcasts
