Estranged husband of missing Jennifer Dulos offered his home as a sex pad to fix lawyer’s marriage

Court documents reveal that the estranged husband of a missing Connecticut mom offered his home to his lawyer so he could be ‘intimate’ with his wife just two days before Jennifer Dulos went missing.

Fotis Dulos, 51, attempted to help the rekindle the romance between his attorney Kent Mawhinney and his wife, according to the Connecticut Post.

The lawyer had been going through a divorce after his wife who filed charges against him for sexual assault in a spousal or cohabiting relationship in January.

Dulos had only met the unnamed woman once in 2014 and made multiple calls to her.

He allegedly insisted that she go to Greece with Mawhinney, visit his Farmington home where they could be ‘intimate’ and more.

The last call, two days before Jennifer Dulos disappeared on May 22, the woman asked him if he would consider getting back together with his wife.

‘He adamantly said, “Oh no … but I would like us to be civil and friends for the sake of the kids,”’ the woman said in a court filing, according to the news outlet.

The unusual details came to light after Mawhinney was charged with violating a protective order by having Dulos contact his wife.

The woman did not report the violations until June 26 when she claims to have spotted Mawhinney taking pictures outside her home in South Windsor.

In court documents, its written that she believed Fotis and Mawhinney were working together to ‘get rid of her,’ the Post reports.

The events preceded her filing for divorce after alleging that Mawhinney had forced her to have sex with him in exchange for living rent free in their apartment.

Months later she became concerned when a man with a crowbar and gas can approached her home, who she believe was hired by her husband to ‘harm her.’

The man was discovered to have connections to Mawhinney and when questioned by police told them that he was asked to fix a garage door, six months earlier.

The first call between the woman and Dulos happened on May 16, where he claimed that Mawhinney still loved her.

The woman recalls Dulos saying: ‘I am going through a divorce myself and I know what it’s like and he wishes that someday that I would call Jennifer to do the same thing what he did for us and also told me that he would like to be friends with Jennifer someday.’

He then encouraged her to go to Greece with Mawhinney to rekindle their romance and offered to write an agreement him to sign stating that he would treat her with respect.

After getting the document signed, Dulos then suggested that Mawhinney and her could meet at his Farmington home, which her lawyers strongly advised against.

‘He suggested that Kent and I can be in one of the rooms and can be intimate,’ according to an affidavit.

The woman would later take a friend with her when meeting Dulos at Max’s Oyster Bar in West Hartford on May 19, against her legal representative’s wishes.

He asked the woman and her friend to come back to his home, when they declined he left.

Dulos then contacted her the following day to state that Mawhinney would pay $1,800 health insurance for her and the kids from her previous marriage.

Later he would call again to say that Mawhinney was threatening to have her charged with fraud over a $300 Macy’s bill.

The woman then told him that she had no interest in meeting Mawhinney.

The woman’s attorney said: ‘The chain of events described above are not a coincidence.

‘A reasonable person would be reasonably afraid for his or her physical safety.’

Jennifer Dulos disappeared on May 24 after dropping the couple’s five children at school.

Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis, his now ex-girlfriend, were charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution in June.

Prosecutors claim to have surveillance footage of Dulos disposing of bags in at least 30 bags on the night Jennifer vanished.

It’s claimed he was driving down a street around 75 miles away from Jennifer’s home in Canaan.

They allege that they have footage of Fotis trying to dispose of altered license plates in a stormdrain.

During later searches they claim to have a found a bag with Jennifer’s blood covered top and bra from the day she vanished, along with several bloody sponges.

Police have undertaken a widespread search of neighborhoods in a bid to find Jennifer’s body.

They also brought in cadaver dogs to investigate a trash-to-energy plant in nearby South Meadows where they looked through 35 tons of rubbish in three weeks.

Fotis’ defense attorney Norm Pattis refused to comment at the time.

But later he told the Courant: ‘The State has alleged that Jennifer’s blood was in one or more bags. That is far more troubling than an item of clothing’

Both Dulos and Troconis have pleaded not guilty to the charges and were released on $500,000 bail with ankle monitoring.

Dulos is now alleged to be dodging a subpoena to be deposed in his divorce case with Jennifer, according to the New York Post.

The state marshal claims to have tried several times to service Dulos at his home.
