A dress code crackdown could be launched by the European Parliament after Liberal Democrat members wore ‘Bollocks to Brexit’ T-shirts in the chamber.

And they are said to be worried the Lib Dems will pull the stunt again when British members have their final full sitting next month, before the UK leaves the EU on January 31. 

Minutes seen by the Mail also cited members wearing hooded jumpers and sunglasses in the chamber.

MEPs often wear T-shirts, jeans, trainers and baseball caps to debates, but the minutes state a ‘draft proposal for amendments to the Bureau Rules governing access to and attendance in the chamber’ has been drawn up to stamp out ‘insulting messages and offensive or discriminatory behaviour’.
