Eva Mendes reveals that she hopes to return to acting with ‘short list’ of approved film projects
Eva Mendes during a talk show visit on Tuesday revealed that she might return to acting after a lengthy break, but only if she gets the right project.
The 48-year-old actress during an appearance on The View said she took time off from acting to raise her daughters Esmeralda, seven, and Amada, five, that she has with husband Ryan Gosling, 41.
Show co-host Whoopi Goldberg, 66, asked Eva what kind of work would she want to do when she returns to acting.

‘You know, Whoopi, I have such a short list of what I will do. Before kids I was kind of up for anything. I mean, if it was a fun project, but now I don’t want to do violence, I don’t want to do sexuality, I don’t want to do …the list is short,’ Eva said.
‘But if there’s a special project will we see you again?,’ asked co-host Sunny Hostin, 53.
‘I hope so. I would like to,’ Eva said.
‘Okay, okay,’ Sunny said as the audience applauded.

Eva’s last big screen appearance was in Ryan’s 2014 film Lost River.
She provided the voice of Yoga Instructor in 2021 for an episode of the Australian animated children’s series Bluey.
Eva has more than two dozen film credits, including: Training Day, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hitch, Ghost Rider, Last Night and The Place Beyond The Pines.
