Michael Strahan called it an ‘intense, dark, twisty, drama.’
And star Evan Rachel Wood agreed when she popped into Good Morning America on Thursday to talk up HBO’s Westworld, which kicks off its second season on Sunday.
‘If you’re waiting for the robot uprising revolution, it’s certainly here,’ she dished. ‘And it’s definitely being lead by the women in the cast, we’re taking control of the park.’

The 30-year-old, who plays hostess Dolores in the Western section of the theme park staffed by robots, wouldn’t reveal whether Anthony Hopkins would be back for season two.
‘You know, you’re going to have to watch.’ she said. ‘Anything is possible in Westworld, you never know. I don’t even know.’
And the audience laughed as Strahan let out a huge sigh saying: ‘Huh, boy! Alright we gotta watch it.’

He congratulated her and Ed Harris on doing their own stunts in the show, which is based on the 1973 film of the same name.
‘I always appreciate when someone goes all in for the job, especially when they do it as well as you do,’ he said as the audience clapped.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday the actress revealed some good news about her pay on Westworld.
‘I think I’m just now to the point where I’m getting paid the same as my male co-stars,’ she told The Wrap.
Aside from Hopkins and Harris, they include Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Jimmi Simpson, Ben Barnes and Clifton Collins Jr.

According to Variety, Westworld‘s top cast members made approximately $175,000 an episode for season one, with Hopkins making $300,00. It is not known how much Evan was making.
While her performance as Dolores has clearly been key to the series success, her equal pay won’t come into effect until season three.
The True Blood actress said she was almost brought to tears when someone went out of their way to let her know about the paycheck parity.
‘I was just told that, you know, “Hey you’re, you’re getting equal pay.” And I almost got emotional. I was like, “I have never been paid the same as my male counterparts. Never, never.”

‘This is the first time that somebody made a point of being like, “Hey you’re getting this. And you deserve it.” And that was nice.’
Though Evan admitted she’s ‘always fighting for’ equal pay on set and has ‘turned down projects’ because of it, she understood why veteran talents Hopkins and Harris were given heartier contracts.
But now that the show has hit its stride, she said: ‘I think now we’re all doing equal amounts of work and really hard work.’

The program – developed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, based off the 1973 film – debuted in the fall of 2016, becoming HBO’s most-watched inaugural season of any program with an average of 12 million viewers on all platforms.
It was subsequently nominated for 22 Emmys last year, capturing four of them.
The second season premiere should get off to a big start after the show’s initial season ended on a massive cliffhanger, with the beginning of a robot rebellion at the futuristic amusement park.
The show’s sophomore season, slated for 10 episodes, begins on HBO Sunday at 9/8c.
