Everton CONFIRM the appointment of Duncan Ferguson as caretaker manager for a second time after sacking Rafa Benitez following their defeat by Norwich… with club to announce a permanent boss ‘in due course’

  • Everton confirmed that Ferguson would be in charge ‘for their upcoming games’


Everton have confirmed the appointment of Duncan Ferguson as the club’s caretaker manager following the sacking of Rafa Benitez. 

Ferguson – who oversaw training on Tuesday afternoon – will take charge Everton while the club look for a successor to Benitez. 

The Spanish manager was sacked on Sunday following the Toffees’ 2-1 defeat to Norwich City.  

The Toffees confirmed in a statement that Ferguson would be in charge ‘for the club’s upcoming games’, starting with the visit of Aston Villa.
