Ewan McGregor, 47, looks boyish holding Winnie-The-Pooh on Ellen’ show to promote Christopher Robin

He recently won a Golden Globe for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film for his work on the dark, twisted Fargo.

But now Ewan McGregor is promoting a much lighter project – the new Christopher Robin movie which is about Winnie-The-Pooh’s friend.

That’s why the 47-year-old actor carried an old Pooh bear when hitting The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday .

He’s back: mEwan Mcgregor appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday to promote some slightly warmer fare in the shape of his upcoming movie, Christopher Robin

Rolling his khaki chinos to a little above his ankle, the Big Fish star donned a basil green long-sleeve shirt that he missed the bottom couple buttons on.

Ewan wore a white crew neck shirt underneath and added blue trainers as he carried a Winnie the Pooh bear into his appearance.

He had his hair combed back and to the the side as he discussed his recent award, his upcoming project, and stuck his hand in a few mysterious jars as he played ‘What’s in my Honey Pot.’

The bear, as expected, was dressed in a red shirt, but no bottoms, and looked lovably worn.

Sticking his hand into the first jar, Ewan found what one might expect if they stuck their hand into a pot labeled ‘HUNNY’ and smiled as he lifted his gooey golden fingers out of the sweet substance.

The second jar, however, was nowhere near as fun, as The Ghost Writer actor was visibly disgusted as he felt around what turned up to be a toupee.

The following two jars were more agreeable, as he pulled out a VHS of his 2003 flick Down With Love, which co-stared Renée Zellweger.

Lastly, he pulled out a dog toy, which made him chuckle with delight.

He also introduced the heartwarming new trailer for his upcoming film Christopher Robin.

Featuring the beloved character in his adult years, long after he left his friends Hundred Acre Wood, he joins Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet in an attempt to reignite his imagination and, in turn, become a more understanding father.

The two-and-a-half minute clip is full of Pooh-spoken nuggets, such as ‘People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day’ and ‘I always get where I’m going by walking away from where I’ve been.’

Christopher Robin is set to warm hearts nationwide when it hits theaters August 3.
