Ex-Jet Blue fight attendant who quit job by sliding out of plane is missing in Mexico

The former Jet Blue employee who famously quit his job by saying ‘I’ve had it. That’s it’ over the PA system and slid out of the plane’s emergency chute in 2010, has been reported missing in Mexico.

Steven Slater gained viral fame for his profanity-laced tirade and bizarre exit.

But he was reported missing on Tuesday in Tijuana, according to the Chula Vista Police Department in California, as per TMZ.

His friends pleaded with the public days prior seeking help in locating him, saying they haven’t been able to get in touch with Slater since Sunday.

He had just moved to Tijuana a week ago and shared snaps of his new city on Facebook, but hasn’t been heard from or seen all week.

California police have notified Mexican authorities that Slater is missing.

He was reportedly last seen Sunday evening walking around the San Ysidro border.

In his last Facebook post on Sunday he said he was going to visit a monument in the city.

He was reported missing by someone in New York, but it’s not clear why the that person contacted Chula Vista police because Slater had no connection to that town.

The officer took a missing person report and entered it into the National Missing Persons Database so if Slater crosses the border again, they will be notified, according to The Blast.

Police are also creating a flier with the former flight attendant’s picture to send to Mexican police for circulation.

The passenger supposedly wanted to get her luggage from an overhead compartment as the plane was taxiing, leading him to tell her to sit down.

Instead of listening, the feisty passenger smacked him and he demanded an apology. When she refused, he launched his outraged tirade.

Slater then took over the plane’s intercom system and said: ‘To the f**king a**hole who told me to f**k off, it’s been a good 28 years. I’ve had it, that’s it.’

Then he grabbed a couple beers off the flight’s drink cart, deployed the emergency exit chute, and smoothly sit down to the tarmac, and drove home.

Cops later found him in bed with his boyfriend at a beachfront home in Rockaways and arrested him and charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.

Following the flight scandal and his court proceedings he moved to San Diego and kept a low profile.
