‘I’m not scared of you or the judge c**t,’ he yells, referring to Mr Pirie’s wife Catherine, a well-known magistrate.

The feud began when Mr Pirie called the police to report cars hooning in his street and reportedly identified Shane Toohey in the car.

‘It was about 4 o’clock in the morning it sounded like it came through our bedroom door and out our window,’ he told A Current Affair.

He claims the car was doing burnouts in the street after hitting a retaining wall.

Since that time he claims Shane regularly threatened himself and his family and would regularly play music so loud it would rattle their windows.

‘We got into a routine of shutting up all the sliding doors, putting the air conditioning on, and ignoring it. Or going out which we did frequently.’

On February 14 2017 the tension reached breaking point when Mr Pirie confronted Shane’s mother Jennifer after the neighbours were allegedly fighting on his easement and told her to get off his property.

She reportedly refused and Mr Pirie claims she screamed accusations that was a paedophile, after which he admits he hit her across the stomach with a stick, causing serious bruising.

Shane Toohey was found guilty of two counts threatening abuse and two counts of exposing himself with his sentence being suspended.

‘To be honest I don’t even know why I said that sh*t,’ he said to reporters outside court.

The Piries have said they will not return to their house while the Tooheys are there, also saying they were disappointed the police have not been able to improve the situation.
