Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Eagles was commemorated with a military flyover before the game.

However, unlike most flyovers, it came above a dome, as the Super Bowl is being played inside the Caesars Superdome this year.

And fans all had the same perplexed reaction to the display.

‘a flyover for a dome stadium is the stupidest s***,; one wrote on X.

‘What’s the point of a flyover over a stadium with a dome?,’ another said.

‘Military flyover for a dome will forever remain comedy,’ a third chimed in.

The flyover from US Marines came after a rendition of the national anthem by Jon Batiste.

The tradition of Super Bowl flyovers is more than 50 years old, as the first occurred in 1968.

Flyovers also happen before NFL playoff games at times.

However, Sunday’s was unique since the 83,000 fans inside the Superdome couldn’t see it.
