But hilariously dull anecdotes from people who have met some of the most famous people in the world prove that even they can’t avoid all of the mundane aspects of every day life.
Twitter user John Moe asked his followers for their most ‘boring’ celebrity encounters – and many were a far cry from a once in a lifetime meeting.
One person said they’d once asked Winona Ryder where the toilets are, while another said they’d given Sarah Michelle Gellar the WiFi code in a coffee shop.

Some people have spotted big name celebrities in normal situations from a distance, including The Edge from U2 and Mark Wahlberg.
