From sleeping in an igloo to spending a night in outer space, one hotel is helping guests live out their wackiest travel fantasies with a range of immersive suites. 

Fantasyland in Edmonton, Canada, has dozens of themed rooms with no expense sparred when it comes to detail.

For instance in the ‘truck’ room, there’s a pick-up converted into a bed, stop sign-patterned carpeting and flashing traffic lights, while in the ‘Africa’ room there’s leopard print carpet, bamboo furniture and a rock pool-styled hot tub.

Aspiring astronauts might want to check out the ‘space’ room, where the ceiling and floor is covered in stars and neon blue lighting that casts an ominous glow.

The bed is styled like a sleeping pod in a spaceship but luckily guests won’t need to be strapped down to enjoy a good night’s sleep.

For history buffs, the ‘Victorian coach’-themed room might tickle their fancy. 

The quaint suite comes complete with a bed disguised as a horse drawn cart, complete with carriage lights and a male mannequin at the bedstead acting as ‘carriage driver’.

Other equally wacky rooms include the 'Roman', which is decked out with red velvet, pillars, topiary and faux marble statues

Guests must clamber up several steps to get into the elevated sleeping area.

Other equally wacky rooms include the ‘Roman’ – decked out with red velvet, pillars, topiary and faux marble statues – and the Polynesian, with the bed nestled in a traditional catamaran boat.

Perks in all of the rooms – along with the zany furnishings – include high speed WiFi, refrigerators, coffee makers, safes and ironing sets. 

Many guests say they love the venue, with Jeezlouise82 from Canada writing on TripAdvisor: ‘We stayed in the space theme room. The room is incredible and very nicely designed.’

Meanwhile, nhewittchick from Canada added: ‘Took the Roman theme room, beautiful with a large spa tub and round bed. Mirrors were by the spa and on the ceiling above the bed.’
