Bilqees Sarwar Foundation is a registered welfare organization and has several purposes to fulfill. One of them is to provide the general public of Pakistan with the most advanced and high-quality public healthcare system.
The second is to provide children with education and all kinds of humanitarian support possible. The Bilqees Sarwar Foundation is also occupied with various welfare activities aimed at uplifting the lives of prisoners who have been serving a term for a long time.
Bilqees Sarwar Foundation or BSF is not the only organization that this company manages. Led by Farhaj Sarwar, NRS International and Minha Foods are also involved in relief work and humanitarian endeavors all around the world.
Farhaj Sarwar was a child with limited means and his mother, a strong lady with unmoved values always had her roots seated deep inside the Pakistani culture. He and all his siblings were raised to be good human beings first and then responsible citizens more than anything else. This teaching of their mother has always stayed with them.
It was the dream of Farhaj Sarwar to set up an umbrella of corporations that would make a difference in the lives of people not only in Pakistan but across the globe.
“We have always believed that a business has a responsibility towards its community.
The BSF has been founded on that very belief and thought process. Our father, the late Sheikh Muhammed Sarwar, was a strong proponent of enterprises that fulfill their social and ethical responsibilities.
This is exactly why NRS International and HSNDS came into existence.
The core vision of these organizations is to make the community of Pakistan more resilient. NRS International and BSF particularly have been working proactively for the education, healthcare, and welfare of various sects across the globe.”
In 2005 it was the time when the family was struggling to find quality healthcare for a member of their clan. It was very heartbreaking for the entire family to witness such a situation.
At that point in time, several regions of Pakistan were already affected by a devastating earthquake. Many families had to flee their homes in search of better facilities and a more conducive environment that would help them survive.
The Sarwar family stepped up and became one of the largest donors of relief goods in that region.
In the year 2013, this group of companies expanded its operations across international borders to help as many people as they could.
Over the past 10 years, the focus of the BSF team has been four primary efforts such as:
- Healthcare
- Prisoner Welfare
- Education for all
- The humanitarian response for everyone in need
They have been conducting projects with the help of their sister concern, NRS International across continents.
Having initiated several campaigns, partnerships, associations, and networks to help people in need, the Sarwar family has come a long way. They are committed to making a strong and sustainable impact on communities across the world.

Undiluted Focus On Vulnerable Populations
The only way to uplift the community is to focus more on people who have been deprived of basic amenities and facilities such as healthcare, sanitation, education, food security, and a respectable means of living that can help them sustain a dignified life.
This is where the several goals of NRS International and BSF converge.
The idea was to create a positive change in the lives of people who are desperately in need.
Healthcare and education were the primary focus of Farhaj Sarwar and he knew that followed by several humanitarian projects such as blood donation camps, awareness about cancer and heart health, and provision of food and sanitation to far-off located people among many other endeavors, he and his siblings will finally be able to create a world where nobody would sleep hungry or without a shade on his head.
The First Step To Making A Difference
Sarwar says:
“We knew that we had to start somewhere. If we decided that we wanted to provide the citizens of our country with good healthcare and well-being, we did all that we could to make that happen.
Our biggest focus was to set up high-quality healthcare facilities for our community and everyone who could not afford medical treatment and similar facilities otherwise. The majority of the medical treatments that we provide are free of any cost and the few treatments that do require the patient to pay up are very rare and the price is highly reasonable too.
Updating the existing medical infrastructure that has already been set up by the various governments of the country was also one of our biggest projects and we are still working on it.”
Quality Education For All Was Where The Pivotal Change Happened
According to NRS International and the BSF, their ground workers and volunteers reported a massive response from the general public all over Pakistan. It was only a matter of the right opportunities.
Education for underprivileged children was always a segment that was rather overlooked by Pakistani governance. The existing academic system also needed several upgrades and huge financial support.
This is where the Bilqees Sarwar Foundation played an important part. As soon as they started promoting education for all and stressing the fact that it is essential for every child and it is one of the basic human rights that no child should be deprived of, people seemed to wake up from their slumber almost immediately.
The government also took notice of the efforts that were being made by Farhaj Sarwar.
“We have come a long way, certainly. But there is a long journey ahead of us still and we are even more motivated to cover that as well. The BSF, NRS International, Minha Foods, and HSNDS are our chariots. They will not slow down until they have spread hope and happiness throughout the country.”
