Farm worker suffers a horrific injury after he gets his leg trapped in a potato harvester – forcing an emergency flight to hospital

  • A man has had this leg trapped in a potato harvester on a Queensland farm
  • Special rescues crews and paramedics had to be called in to free the man 
  • He was airlifted by helicopter with a critical care worker to Toowoomba Hospital

A farm worker has suffered a serious injury after getting his leg trapped in a potato harvester.

The injured man was stabilised by LifeFlight crews at the property in Crowley Vale, Queensland on Tuesday at 7.45am. 

Fire and Emergency Services crews from Toowoomba were tasked to to assist paramedics as they worked to free him.

A man has suffered a serious leg injury after getting trapped in a machine believed to be a potato harvester on a farm

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said at the time the patient was in a serious condition with injuries to his leg.

Emergency services were called to the scene with a critical care worker attending to the farm in the Locker Valley.

The man has been flown to Toowoomba where hospital staff said he was in a stable condition.
