An elderly farmer has been crushed to death by a large bale of hay.
Emergency services were called to a farm on Proctor Road near Willunga Hill south of Adelaide about 9.30am on Wednesday.
The man, believed to be in his 70s, was trapped under a hay bale which he was attempted to move with a tractor, Yahoo7 reported.

Paramedics and SES volunteers attempted to rescue the man but he died at the scene.
Safe Work South Australia is investigating, and police will prepare by the coroner.
It is believed the hay bale fell back into the cabin of the tractor while the man was operating it.
