This is my mum and me at a screening of Embrace, a moving documentary about body image. We’re constantly comparing ourselves to unrealistic ideals, which isn’t healthy, and this film is part of a powerful movement demanding to see a more inclusive and diverse range of women represented in the media.

Pink and red is a great colour combo – and even better when you throw in some orange lipstick. I love this blouse – anything with a pussy bow has me sold. SHIRT, £265, Tabitha Webb, tabithawebb.co.uk. EARRINGS, £59, Onjenu, onjenu.com. Retro matte lipstick in Dangerous, £16.50, Mac, maccosmetics.co.uk

I’ve always been a big fan of Topshop, but some mums don’t go there any more because they think it’s for students. Now I’ve got slightly more funds than I did when I was partying and pre-kids, I probably shop there even more! BLAZER, £69; TROUSERS, £25; BOOTS, £35, and BAG, £25, all Topshop, topshop.com

Marks & spencer is a true high-street hero – it’s affordable, it caters for everyone and you can find some real fashion gems. This electric-blue sequined pencil skirt is a great buy for Christmas and beyond. You can easily dress it up for a night out or down with a chunky knit. CARDIGAN, £39.50, and SKIRT, £45, both Marks & Spencer, marksandspencer.co.uk. BODY, £65, Half Baked, halfbakedlondon.com

Festive fun with my fellow bloggers! We were doing some filming for the Greenwich Winter Time Festival, which is on now and has ice-skating, street performers, live music and is great fun for families. DRESS, £59, Marks & Spencer, marksandspencer.com. From left: Helen (@scummymummies), Gayle (@hustleandfox), Cherry (@cherryhealey), Anna (@mother_pukka), me, Cat (@hustleandfox), Candice (@candicebrathwaite) and Ellie (@scummymummies)

This ‘go love yourself’ jumper is part of my collaboration with @parentapparel and is a great reminder to look after yourself. As women we are often very good at checking everyone else is OK but always put ourselves at the back of the queue. This is a nice self-care reminder to help us set a good example to each other and the next generation. JUMPER, £42, parent-apparel.com. SKIRT, £29.99, Zara, zara.com
