Heartbreaking tributes have flowed for a father and son killed in a horror highway crash which has shaken their local community.
Ewen Jubb, 46, and his son Alex, 14, died on the M1 Motorway near Ourimbah on NSW Central Coast, while waiting for NRMA roadside assistance on Saturday.
The pair were pulled over on the motorway’s centre median strip when a Mitsubishi Challenger hit their Holden Commodore at about 9am.

A family member told The Newcastle News that wife and mother Bernadette Jubb was offered ‘massive support and help from police and other services’ after the shocking crash.
The family live in Coal Point on Lake Macquarie, on Newcastle’s outskirts, where Ewen worked as a building surveyor and Alex attended a local school.
‘(They are a) private, loving and hard-working family,’ the family member reportedly said. ‘The school and Alex’s friends had been notified.’
Alex’s teachers and friends have been offered counselling to help cope with the loss of the young boy but the school is yet to put out an official notice to all parents as it is still waiting for family approval.
Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are still investigating the accident and have asked for anyone in the area with dashcam footage between 8.15am and 9am to come forward.

Early reports suggest the SUV lost control and veered off the highway into the father and son’s vehicle, the SUV driver was uninjured
Initial reports suggest the father and son had pulled onto the centre median strip and become bogged around 9am when the SUV lost control and collided with them.
The 27-year-old was uninjured in the crash but was taken to Wyong hospital for a mandatory check up.
An off-duty police officer and a nurse attempted to treat Ewen and Alex at the scene.
