- The motorist could be seen tearing up behind the cyclist, beeping his horn
- Man yelled at the youngster who filmed the confrontation from his push bike
- The video was uploaded with the headline, ‘Is that a threat or a promise?’
Chilling footage has emerged of an angry father chasing a man down a country road in a ute, yelling at him for ‘saying g’day to his daughter’.
The video was uploaded to Facebook Monday morning via Brown Cardigan after being submitted by Kona Kampbell, a sheep station employee on New Zealand’s South Island.
The outraged farmer could be seen tearing up behind the 21-year-old, beeping his horn before veering off the road onto the side bank and launching into his attack.

‘Stay away from my f***ing daughter,’ the father blasted across at the young male.
He then revved the engine and drove back onto the road before speeding away.
The cyclist seemed amused at his predicament, telling the front-facing camera, ‘oh s***, he’s got a bone to pick with me’ as the ute approached from behind.
Speaking with Daily Mail Australia, Mr Kampbell said he often road past the house and said hello to the 23-year-old ‘stunner’, which appeared to anger her father.
‘Well I’m friends with his daughter and I ride down the beach road occasionally and say g’day or just even ride past the house,’ he said.

‘He thinks I’m tryna (sic) get with his daughter and he took it next level this time. It’s all fun though.’
Mr Kampbell said the incident was ‘pretty scary’ and he decided to turn his camera on just in case he got hit.
He added it wasn’t the first time he’d had a run-in with the farmer, having opened the gate to one of his cow paddocks about a year ago.
‘Maybe I stuff him up a bit but it’s just what you do you know, as a bit of fun.’
