Father killed by his son after play fighting outside of Reading bar Wild Lime

Revealed: Army veteran who died from brain injuries after play fight outside a pub went horribly wrong was sparring with his own SON

  • A father, 48, and son, 18, were play fighting outside of Reading bar Wild Lime  
  • After sparring, the father fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement 
  • He was declared dead at Reading’s Royal Berkshire Hospital from brain injuries
  • Thames Valley Police have arrested the 18-year-old son on suspicion of murder

It has been revealed that an army veteran who was killed while he was play fighting outside a sports bar was sparring with his own son. 

The pair were outside Wild Lime in Reading, Berkshire, when the 48-year-old father fell and hit his head on the pavement. 

It has been alleged that the pair were play fighting, before things got more heated and punches were thrown.

Police arrived at the scene to find 18-year-old man crouching over his father as he was dying from a brain injury. 

The 48-year-old was pronounced dead at Reading’s Royal Berkshire Hospital. 

The 18-year-old son has been arrested on suspicion of murder by Thames Valley Police. He has not been charged with any crime

Thames Valley Police told The Sun: ‘An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. ‘

The son has not been charged by the police. 

It is believed that he is from Crowthorne, Berkshire.
