Father of 17-year-old stabbed to death outside a shopping centre gets moving tattoo inked on his arm in memory of his son

A father has inked a moving tribute in memory of his son after the 17-year old was stabbed to death in front of a shopping centre.  

Brett Beasley’s son, Jack, died after an alleged knife attack in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast on December 13.  

Mr Beasley uploaded a picture of the large tattoo on his forearm to Facebook and showed off the loving tribute with the words ‘Jacko RIP 02.04.02-13.12.19’.

He also captioned the image with a heartfelt message that said: I’m gonna miss you mate Jack – I will never get over you … love you son I’ll see you up there mate we’ll have a cold beer together … Dad xxxx’. 

Mr Beasley also praised the staff at the Phresh Ink tattoo parlour for their ‘kind generosity and absolutely awesome tattoo’. 

He urged any friends of his son to contact them if they were ‘thinking of getting something small to remember Jack’. 

More than 1000 mourners paid their respects to the late 17-year-old at a funeral service at the Southport Church of Christ on Monday.

Mr Beasley described his son as ‘a charismatic character, full of spunk and attitude with a big heart’.

A friend of the family also called the teen a ‘beautiful, cheeky boy’ and said: ‘Jack, we all love you and you won’t ever leave our hearts.’ 

‘Jack was a young man who brought peace, love and happiness to all,’ said another.  

One 18-year-old and four youths from Logan, south of Brisbane, were arrested and charged following Jack’s death. They are expected to appear in court again in the new year.
