Faye Dunaway, 76, makes rare public appearance

She has stepped away from the spotlight in recent years, after decades of being one of Hollywood’s most high profile stars.

But Faye Dunaway made a rare public appearance on Friday as she headed into Beverley Hills to pick up some essentials from her local pharmacy.

The 76-year-old Bonnie and Clyde star kept a low profile as she exited an Uber for her shopping trip, showcasing her youthful complexion in the relaxed ensemble.

Faye rocked black striped tracksuit bottoms along with a matching t-shirt and grey hoodie, keeping comfy in trainers as she carried her purchases out of the shop.

Keeping her blonde locks tied back, the actress kept her smooth complexion on full display in the ensemble, after making a return to acting this year.

The star has had roles in three films this year, including horror film The Bye Bye Man and the Nicolas Cage-starring Inconceivable.

Faye’s return to the spotlight came along with a reunion with her Bonnie and Clyde co-star Warren Beatty, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film.

The duo appeared at the Academy Awards together in February to announce the Best Picture award, but unfortunately things did not go to plan.

Announcing La La Land as Best Picture, the pair had been given the wrong envelope to announce the prize, leading Oscar producers to run onto the stage midway-through the acceptance speeches to unveil Moonlight as the real winner.

Breaking her silence about the blunder in April, Faye told NBC Nightly News that she originally thought her co-star Warren was joking when he paused to read out the winner.

She said: ‘I thought he was joking. I mean, I thought he was stalling. Warren’s like that. He kind of holds the power and makes people – a dramatic pause. But it’s part of his charm.

The star also admitted that she ‘very guilty’ about the blunder and a bit stung, saying: ‘Yeah, completely. And we were, I won’t say ‘deer in the headlight,’ but you are completely stunned. You don’t know what has happened.’
