Lindsay P. Anderson, 31, of Geneva, Illinois pleaded guilty last week to criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault

A 31-year-old Illinois teacher is facing a potentially lengthy jail sentence after confessing she had sexual contact with two of her former male middle school students after drugging at least one of them a few years ago when they were just 14 and 15-years-old.

Lindsay P. Anderson of Geneva, Illinois pleaded guilty late last week to criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault, both felonies.

Authorities said the former high school coach was a teacher at Carpentersville Middle School in Carpentersville, Illinois when she groomed her teenage victims with gifts and drugs before engaging in sexual relationships with both of them between 2013 and May 2015.

‘Ms. Anderson leveraged her position as a teacher to gain these victims’ trust and then selfishly took advantage of that trust, Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon told reporters on Monday.

‘As a teacher, she was in a position of authority and clearly knew that what she did was wrong and harmful to these children.’

Anderson entered what's called a 'cold' or 'blind' guilty plea, meaning she concedes her guilt without an agreed-upon sentence with prosecutors, leaving her fate in the hands of a judge

Law enforcement started investigating Anderson in May of 2015 when one boy’s mother reported her suspicion of an inappropriate relationship between the two to East Dundee Police.

The concerned parent said Anderson would drive her son home from football practice and would ‘buy him things and take him places,’ according to an affidavit obtained by the Daily Herald.

Anderson’s 15-year-old victim told local child sex abuse investigators that she once picked him up and took him to a local nature park where they smoked marijuana together before she sexually assaulted him.

Authorities said Anderson admitted sexually assaulting the boys ‘several times’ during a video-recorded statement to police.

She said she molested her 14-year-old victim in a local movie theater parking lot.

During her court hearing last week, Anderson entered what’s called a ‘cold’ or ‘blind’ guilty plea, meaning she concedes her guilt without an agreed-upon sentence with prosecutors, leaving her fate in the hands of a judge.

She’s scheduled to be sentenced on December 6 and faces anywhere from four to 22 years in prison.
