A dating expert has polled a group of more than 200 Australian women about what their two favourite physical qualities are in a man, and the results aren’t as obvious as you might think.
According to the data, which was collected on Louanne Ward’s Facebook page She Said, He Said, women are most attracted to the eyes when they first meet a man, and then they look at his smile.
Ms Ward, who is from Perth in Western Australia, wasn’t entirely surprised herself by these findings because men placed almost equal importance on the face in her previous study, which asked men what they find most attractive in a woman.

This time around eyes reigned supreme at 27.3 per cent, followed by smile (21.1 per cent) and then having good teeth (18.75 per cent).
‘I love a man that is nicely built. Muscular with a nice stance and good looking. Pretty much like my car. You look at it and can’t take your hands off it or your eyes. Piercing eyes get me lost in that soul,’ one woman responded to the poll.
In fourth and fifth position were height (18.75 per cent) and then penis size, which came in at 14.1 per cent.

‘Definitely teeth… hmm and height! But only because I’m tall! God I feel so shallow right now,’ another woman said.
Only three votes separated the male appendage from muscles, which was in sixth place.
‘Nice package and definitely his smile. Could say a couple more but it’s only two. Feeling blessed as I’ve got him,’ said a third woman.
One man reading the poll hilariously interjected to say: ‘I’m doing an extra 50 reps on my arms, shoulders, chest, back and glutes per session after reading this.’
Last week Ms Ward reached out to the men in her Facebook group to ask them the same question.

Eyes took out the top spot at 34.8 per cent overall, followed by smile (24.8 per cent) and then bottom (10 per cent).
‘The eyes have it, then the way she carries herself, and finally, how she presents herself,’ one man responded.
In fourth and fifth position were breasts (7.7 per cent) and legs (6.2 per cent) with a healthy body shape, hair and personal style rounding out the list.
‘The first thing I notice is her eyes. I can almost read a person and it’s strange but the eyes truly are the gateway to one’s soul… then I notice the hair, I love a woman with long, beautiful hair,’ another man confessed.

‘I think people feel guilty expressing the need for physical attraction publicly,’ Ms Ward said in response.
‘If we aren’t attracted to someone it’s unlikely we will ever know what their personality is like, the same as looks alone aren’t enough to build upon.’
Other men were even embarrassed to say that their favourite feature was a woman’s breasts, perhaps fearing it would spike backlash from the rest of the group.
But Ms Ward asked for honesty in her research: ‘There is nothing shameless about appreciating a woman’s breasts, they are part of her feminine form, plus you don’t have any which makes them more fascinating’.
