Fans have claimed that Australian Muay Thai fighter Alma Juniku was robbed in her brutal championship fight.

Juniku lost the Atomweight Muay Thai World Title fight to Stamp Fairtex in Shanghai, China on Saturday. 

Fairtex defended her title against the 18-year-old and was declared the unanimous winner of the five-round fight.

Spectators slammed the decision made by the judges and claimed the young Aussie from Logan, Queensland was ‘robbed’ and should have won.

‘Stamp Fairtex looks shocked that she won… Alma Juniku won that,’ one person tweeted. 

‘I’m definitely not a Muay Thai judge but I thought Stamp lost that fight,’ another said.

The fight saw Juniku and Fairtex go head-to-head in five-rounds that lasted for five minutes each, with the bout heating up in the third round.

Juniku knocked Fairtex over twice during the fight, however Fairtex was able to get to her feet and continue.

Juniku prepared for the fight with daily work-out sessions and taking time to relax.

She told Daily Mail Australia ahead of the fight: ‘Overall [Fairtex] is a really, really good fighter.

‘She’s stronger, she’s technical and I think it will be a good fight. I’ll give it everything I have. I feel fit and strong and I’m pretty excited.

‘Now I just have to go out there and do my thing.’
