Finks bikie Martin Klein drug charges after storage unit raided

A Finks bikie boss has faced court today after he was arrested for a string of serious drug and firearm offences when police raided a Sydney storage unit.

Martin Klein, a senior member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang, was arrested and charged by the NSW Strike Force Raptor on Wednesday night.

Police seized 17.4kg of MDA pills, 1.7kg of powder – suspected to be cocaine – and more than 67kg of powders, also believed to be MDA, illicit drugs, assorted precursors, two firearms, a silencer and ammunition.

Just before 6pm on Wednesday police arrested the 35-year-old man when he attended the unit, which was under heavy surveillance. 

Shortly after the arrest, investigators executed a crime scene warrant in the storage cage and search warrants at a unit in the complex and a home at Beaumont Hills.

Officers seized a .38 colt six-shot revolver, ammunition, encrypted mobile phones, cash, a hydrogen chloride gas cylinder, and various documentation.

Klein, who has been identified as a high-ranking member of the Finks OMCG, was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with large commercial drug supply and 15 firearms offences.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Thursday. 

Investigations under  Strike Force Creswell are continuing.
