First Dates star ‘in talks to take part in I’m A Celebrity’ after saying he ‘would never’ go on the reality show
First Dates’ Fred Sirieix is ‘in talks to star in this years series of I’m A Celebrity,’ according to a new report.
The maître d’, 51, who previously said he ‘would never’ go on the ITV reality show, has been lined up in hopes ‘he’ll be a hit with the ladies.’
Fred once revealed that although he ‘adore’s frogs legs’ the bushtucker trials aren’t up his ‘gastronomie’ standard.
A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Show bosses hope he’ll be a hit with the ladies watching, which is part of the reason they’ve targeted him.
‘Everyone’s really excited that they’re close to signing him up.’

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.
In an interview with Hello! last year, he admitted that the bushtucker trials put him off the idea of ever taking part in the reality series.
‘I don’t think I’d do I’m A Celebrity, I wouldn’t be too keen on eating a camel’s anus or something like that,’ he explained.
‘I know I eat frogs, I’m French, but at least those frogs are cooked!
‘They are deliciously prepared, whereas a camel’s anus is put in a blender and you have to eat it raw. It’s awful. I know people who have been there – it’s really not ‘gastronomie.’
It comes following the news that ITV’s cooking trio Gino D’Acampo, Gordon Ramsay and Fred are coming back to our screens for a new series despite Gino announcing his departure from their Road Trip in March.
Gino, Gordon And Fred: Viva Espana! will show the famous three journeying through Spain on another drive and will air next month on ITV and ITVX.
Gino quit the show for a range of reasons including wanting to protect his friendships with his co-stars, spend more time with his family, and free up his calendar.
The latest season of Road Trip was filmed and announced before the shock announcement that one third of the winning formula was leaving, and is ultimately dropping later than the previously promised ‘early 2023’.

Alongside the cooking and driving that come with the territory for three chefs’ road trip, the food connoisseurs will have ‘a few surprises’ up their sleeve for viewers, such as flamenco dancing.
Viewers can also look forward to two special episodes that will air over the Christmas period, in a festive first for the trio since 2020’s Desperately Seeking Santa episode in Lapland.
Gordon, Gino and Fred: Unseen will also return with never-before-seen action from their earlier antics.
