Going to the gym, tanning and doing laundry were staples on the Jersey Shore but Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino could only focus on working out during his eight month stint in prison for tax evasion. 

Just hours after the 37-year-old reality star was released from FCI Otisville on Thursday, The Situation was pictured looking ‘swole’ at a New Jersey gas station with his wife Lauren.

An eyewitness explained to Radar Online that the reality star had gone into the East Orange gas station to use the restroom. He was soon joined by his wife. 

‘They were in there for no more than two minutes’ the source said. ‘They did not get food or gas, they just continued on their way.’

The pair returned to their Long Branch condo after leaving the gas station.

He was engaged at the time to his college sweetheart Lauren Pesce, and they married on November 1 before he surrendered to police in mid-January.

At his sentencing last fall, The Situation told the judge that he was trying to overcome years of drug and alcohol abuse.

The Situation appeared on all six original seasons of the Jersey Show from 2009 to 2012, chronicling the lives of rowdy housemates in the town of Seaside Heights. He made several appearances on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
