This fisherman quickly learned his place in the animal hierarchy when an alligator stole a fish from the end of his rod.
He was reeling in his catch from a lake in New Port Richey, Florida, when the huge gator decided to take the bass for itself.
As the fish leaves the water the alligator can be seen in the clip heading for the bass but the fisherman is still unaware of the dangerous fiend ahead.
It rushes on to the grass-edge of the lake and pins the fish with its powerful jaws and tries to escape with its meal.
Then a tug of war ensues between the fisherman and the beast. It is unclear who emerges victorious.
The unidentified fisherman said: ‘I was doing a video on bass fishing and did not see the alligator coming towards me till the last minute.’

The can be found anywhere there is water—lakes, ponds, rivers, marshes, swamps, and even man-made canals.
