Fisherman holds Great White shark’s JAWS open to free it

This is the moment a pair of fisherman daringly chopped a fishing line out of the mouth of a Great White shark they accidentally caught off the coast of Mexico.

The massive predator’s eyes gleamed in the darkness as the professional anglers carefully worked to set it free in Ensenada, on Mexico’s west coast.

In a heart-stopping clip shared online, a man in a blue top and grey beanie hat holds the blue fishing line inches from the shark’s teeth as it thrashes around in the surf.

That line’s jaws, not mine: The massive predator’s eyes gleamed in the darkness (pictured) as the professional anglers carefully worked to set it free in Ensenada, on Mexico’s west coast

His friend, wearing a green shirt, then boldly helps to hold the Great White’s jaws open so that the first fisherman can cut the animal free.

Incredible footage shot by the duo’s companion shows the water beast’s insides as it opens its jaws wide.

But as another wave comes in, the pair lose their grip on the creature, shouting warnings to each other as it threatens to slip free from their grasp and attack them.

At another worrying moment, the man with the blue shirt slips and the shark starts trying to clamp its jaws around the pliers he had been using.

The pair were unable to take the bolt out of the shark’s mouth, but clipping the line meant it could be freed and would survive the ordeal.

One viewer said: ‘That was some gamble to put those bolt cutters in there. That shark easily could have lunged forward and had “arm” for dinner.’

Another said: ‘Awww come on, get the hook out. I dare ya.’
