A fitness coach has revealed how to make a healthy, homemade version of Nando’s delicious chicken, chips and corn with dipping sauce.
Bec Hardgrave, from Brisbane, Australia, shared a video online claiming her ‘fakeaway’ Nando’s recipe contains a mere 480 calories per serve, while the real deal has more than 1030.
In the clip, she recreated her go-to takeaway order of perri-perri chips, chicken tenders, corn on the cob and Nando’s Perinaise peri-peri mayonnaise.

Buying all the ingredients from Coles, Bec used straight cut chips, peri peri salt, chicken breast, Mild Nando’s Peri Marinade, corn cobs, Lightest LURPAK Butter for the corn and Perinaise dipping sauce.
Each serving contained 38g of protein, 50g of carbohydrates and a mere 13g of fat.
In the video, Bec began by cooking the chips in an air fryer with peri peri salt, and marinated the chicken pieces with Nando’s peri-peri mild sauce.
Buying all the ingredients from Coles, Bec used straight cut chips, peri peri salt, chicken breast, Mild Nando’s Peri Marinade, corn cobs, Lightest LURPAK Butter for the corn and Perinaise dipping sauce
Next, she cooked the chicken in the oven on a high heat until it was cooked through and boiled the corn cobs on the stove.
‘Did you know a large side of corn at Nando’s alone is 642 Calories!!’ she wrote.
The end result looked delicious and closely replicated the original takeaway meal.
The recipe would be perfect for those wanting to consume less calories and eat a somewhat healthier dish for dinner.
