A health and fitness coach has revealed how to make a healthy breakfast bagel that’s packed full of protein and the perfect way to start your day.

Bec Hardgrave from Brisbane, shared that the breakfast dish is only 324 calories and says that ‘the café version would easily be 600+ calories’.

Bec begins by first frying or scrambling an egg and one egg white in the fry pan.

A health and fitness coach has revealed how to make a healthy breakfast bagel that’s packed full of protein and the perfect way to start your day

She then adds 50 grams of short cut bacon to the fry pan to cook. 

Next she places a sliced gluten free bagel to her air fryer and lets it toast until golden.  

Once toasted Bec places the perfectly cooked eggs onto the bagel and adds the crisp bacon slice on top.

Bec’s breakfast bagel ingredients: 

  • One Coles Gluten Free bagel
  • 50g Short cut bacon
  • One Egg
  • One Egg white
  • 15ml Fountain Barbecue No Sugar Sauce  

Finally she drizzles Fountain no sugar barbecue sauce on top to add some extra flavour and enjoys. 

‘This is currently one of my favourite breakfasts and it’s GF and [contains] 20 grams of protein,’ the Brisbane fitness trainer said.

Her easy recipe received numerous comments from fellow breakfast fans, with many sharing they will give it a go this weekend.
