Fitness queen Ashy Bines reveals her Instagram account was hacked

Ashy Bines spent more than eight years building her health and fitness empire from scratch on social media.

But earlier this week, the fitness queen, from the Gold Coast, revealed she was left in tears after discovering her Instagram account was hacked.

As she found herself locked out of her profile, the entrepreneur said she was fearing about her pictures and videos being erased forever.

Taking to her Snapchat story, a tearful Ashy alerted her fans not to respond to any direct messages after she lost control over her account.

‘Good afternoon everyone, sorry I’ve been crying… My Instagram profile has been hacked,’ Ashy said.

‘I just wanted to let you guys know in case they reply to any of my [direct messages] or sent anything out that’s not me.

‘I really wouldn’t care if I had to start again onInstagram but I just want all of my photos so I really hope the person that is doing this doesn’t go and delete all the photos.’

But hours later, the mother-of-one confirmed on her Instagram story that her husband managed to save all the content after he retrieved her account.

‘Thank goodness. I totally understand there’s so much more worse things that could happen to you and what’s going on in the world,’ she said.

‘But it was a bit scary because I’ve been on Instagram for about eight years now so I was documenting my best memories and my best photos.

‘Just overall, I feel like I have put a lot of time, effort, energy and love and I’ve connected with so many of you girls and that means a lot to me.

‘So to lose all of that… it’s a big part of my life and business as well. It was definitely a moment of panic.’

She continued posting about her concerns in a post.

‘I think everyone can relate a little bit the emotions involved with losing all your content and energy put into a large old account like mine,’ she said.

‘After years of posting my life, best memories, sharing my experiences, best photos, being so raw and connecting with so many of you, I was worried they were going to delete all of my photos and my hard work and time, energy gone down the drain.

‘Plus it is a big part in my business as well. But thanks to my hubby who sorted it with Instagram together they got it back pretty quick.

‘Now this week I’ll be printing so many photos to have hard copies of all my memories.’

She also defended herself against critics for being emotional over her account.

‘Worse things can happen, I’m well aware of that before someone else tells me to stop being a sook but I also am not a robot and allowed to feel emotions,’ she said.

‘Thanks to all of you who show so much support and love you don’t go unnoticed.’
