Fitness star Sophie Guidolin shares snap to prove when you’re healthy age won’t be a concern

Mother-of-four Sophie Guidolin has built a lucrative career around her fitness program and competing in bikini competitions.

And now the Australian has revealed that she has barely aged in the past 12 years thanks to her healthy lifestyle – and she is fitter and healthier than she has ever been. 

The 29-year-old shared a photo with her Instagram followers comparing a snap from when she was 17 with a photo of herself currently.

‘When you look after your health, your age won’t be a concern,’ she explained in the caption.

She said that there has been over 12 years between the two shots and that she looks forward to turning 30 as she is now healthier than ever.

In the post she encouraged her followers to look after their bodies, as they ‘only get one’.

When asked why she looks better now than when she was younger, Sophie said in a comment that it’s all thanks to the fact that she actually looks after her body now. 

‘I don’t even use body wash with chemicals – in the first photo I’m pretty much a walking vodka bottle,’ she said.

Sophie said that although she is drinking in the photo from when she was in her teens, she doesn’t drink any more.

She also denied claims she had tweaked her appearance cosmetically, saying ‘it even looks like I’ve had a nose job because it was so much rounder then’. 

A multitude of commenters said that they think the mother looks completely different now.

Her favourite snacks to munch on throughout the day include chia seed pudding, banana bread, cruskits and cookies.

This might come as a surprise given her body is so incredibly honed, but Sophie believes in the art of moderation and just includes those extra calories in her daily total of 3,000.

While she does track her macros in relation to food, she doesn’t actually track how many calories she burns during a workout as she wants her meals to stay consistent.

Throughout the online question and answer, the shredded star outlined some of the best exercises to target specific parts of your body.

She said the easiest way to target your lower abdomen is to perform hanging leg raises, for the lower body it’s heavy weight lifting and her favourite overall movement is the squat.

Sophie explained that she doesn’t believe in the idea of diets ‘unless you can maintain it forever’ and detoxing is a myth ‘because your kidneys and liver do it for you’.
