It has been a rollercoaster ride for the property market during the pandemic.

First, the market was temporarily shut down and then it bounced back so strongly that new price records have been set.

But with more workers returning to offices, there is fresh demand for homes closer to city centres once again. So what you do get if you spend £1million on a one-bedroom flat in the capital?

We take a look at five flats for sale on property website Zoopla with price tags around the £1million mark.

They include a leasehold apartment on the 48th floor of a tower block in East London that has an asking price of £945,000.

And there is a New York style loft space on the ground floor of a block in the East End that has access to a garden.
