Miguel Muñoz has been a flight attendant for more than a decade and said to ask staff at the airport’s duty-free stores for an empty bag to put extra items in.

A flight attendant who has more than ten years experience in the ski has shared his genius ‘duty-free hack’ to sneak extra items in your carry-on luggage

‘If you have something that doesn’t fit in your suitcase or you want to bring an extra bag on board, here’s the trick,’ he said.

‘All you have to do is carry a duty-free bag or ask for one at the duty-free shop and you place whatever you want in the shopping bag.’

Miguel said travellers who discover their checked bag is too heavy can simply remove some of the items and place them in a duty-free bag rather than paying the airline for the extra weight.

In a viral clip posted to Instagram, Louisa disguises excess clothing as a carry-on pillow and said you will need two pillowcase and a small blanket.

She starts by folding the extra clothing into three neat, compact piles and wrapping them tightly in the blanket so she has a package about the size of her pillowcase.
