This is the adorable moment a cat hilariously tries to drink from a tap whilst wearing a neck cone.

The thirsty cat desperately tries to get his head underneath the tap to have a quick drink, but instead the water just pours on his head.

Romulus the tabby cat belongs to Grace Cook, 20, who captured the hilarious footage when she spotted her pet feline trying to his hardest to take a sip from the bathroom sink.

Grace, from Atlantic Beach, Florida said: ‘His preferred way of drinking is straight from the sink in the bathroom, which I always find entertaining to watch.

‘He has a water bowl that he can drink out of perfectly fine, but for some reason he wanted to make things awkward for himself and drink straight from the tap.

‘Romulus was wearing the cone as he had a bad case of conjunctivitis that he couldn’t stop scratching, which made it worse.

‘He had the cone on and off for about a month whilst he was recovering.

‘I felt a little guilty for laughing at his failure, but it was too goofy looking not to record.

‘He tried to drink with no luck for maybe 45 seconds before giving up.’
