Florida driver is charged with attempted murder after dragging a cop 100 yards on a highway during a traffic stop for his tinted windows

A Florida man has been arrested after he was caught on video dragging a police deputy 100 yards down an interstate on-ramp.
Rocky Rudolph Jr., 38, has been charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault following the shocking incident, which occurred in Seminole County on Saturday.
Dashcam video and police body camera caught the exchange between Rudolph and Deputy Aaron Blais, who had pulled the man over in his black Escalade after noticing its illegally tinted windows.

Footage shows the officer speaking with the driver before he notices the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Blais asks Rudolph if he has a Florida health card that would allow him to smoke the drug, to which he receives a negative reply.
The officer subsequently requests the driver turn off his car – an order which is not followed.
The situation escalates as Blais calls for back up before Rudolph suddenly puts his foot on the accelerator and drags the officer 20 yards along the road as he grips the driver’s seat belt through the window.

Blais then pulls out his gun, and yells: ‘Put your hands up! Put your hands up! Put your f**king hands up!’
A seemingly startled Rudolph screams before attempting to flee, as Blais is dragged a further 100 yards down the road.
At some point during the exchange, Blais shot Rudolph in the leg, according to Fox News.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the shooting further.
In the video, Blais can be seen pulling out his gun, before he yells: ‘Put your hands up! Put your hands up! Put your f**king hands up!’
Rudolph sped off from the scene, leaving Blais lying by the side of the road after he lost grip of the vehicle.
The officer was taken into to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses say they saw Rudolph disposing of a gun which was reportedly stored inside his black Escadalde.
Sheriff Dennis Lemma told Fox News that he believes Rudolph was reaching for the gun before he put his foot on the accelerator and drove off.
He was eventually tracked down eight hours later in another vehicle, before being taken into custody.
‘This was a very dangerous situation. Our deputy could have been killed,’ Lemma stated.
