A Florida mom is being praised online for treating herself to a solo trip to Disney World as her two kids went back to school for the fall.
Lisa DiNoto became the envy of other parents inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom during a recent trip to the theme park.
She and her husband visit Disney World multiple times a year with their two young sons, but this particular trip was special.
The Disney fanatic and former attorney who quit her practice in Maryland in 2016 to move a mile away from the so-called happiest place on earth even wore a large pin that told everyone why she was there.
‘I’m celebrating: 1st Day of School,’ the round novelty pin read beneath a picture of Goofy.
‘This, my friends. This is what you do after you drop your kids off on the first day of school. You get yourself a pin and you walk it around Magic Kingdom like some garden gnome on a world adventure,’ DiNoto wrote on her lifestyle blog, ‘The Castle Run.’

Most of the people DiNoto encountered at the park were there with their own children
Most of the people she encountered at the park were there with their own children, but that didn’t stop them for praising her for her self love and, ‘seize the day,’ mindset.
‘People are going to start stopping you and telling you that you are life goals,’ DiNoto said. ‘They will often be saddled with strollers and lots of tired children. Be gracious. Comfort them. Wish them a magical day…. and try not to skip away.’
While walking down a path in the park known as Main Street USA, DiNoto encountered several of Disney’s most iconic characters like Snow White.
She decided to ask them to hold her pin and pose for pictures.
‘They got such a kick out of it that I just kept going,” DiNoto told Good Morning America.

The icing on the cake was her encounter with the Fairy God Mother who was in stitches when she read DiNoto’s reason visiting Cinderella’s Castle.
‘She was laughing so hard she was crying and we just started hugging and laughing together,’ DiNoto said.
‘She reached into her sleeve and pulled out a bag of pixie dust and handed it to me and said, “This is for you and only you. You use it today.” It was one of those moments of connection that is really what the parks are all about.’
Sending the kids back to school for the start of a new academic year is an occasion parents across America look forward to towards the end of every summer.
DiNoto had no qualms about taking a day to enjoy herself without her family.
‘They were excited for their first day at school and I was excited for some time alone,’ she said. ‘Pickup time came soon enough and all of us had lots of fun sharing the details of our day.’
