A Florida woman, who allegedly suffocated her four-year-old daughter and threw her body in a dumpster, has been charged with first-degree murder.

The body of Tania Paige was found by a man who was throwing out garabage on Sunday.

According to a Miami-Dade Police statement, the man found Tania’s body inside the trash bin at the Tuscany Place apartment complex southwest of Miami.

The girl’s mother, 31-year-old Tina Farrington, was held without bond Monday at the Miami-Dade County jail on a first-degree murder charge.

Farrington allegedly suffocated Tania with a pillow on Halloween after becoming angry with the girl, according to an arrest report.

The woman was home with Tania and the child’s younger brother when the alleged killing took place around 7pm.

According to Sun Sentinel, Tina became upset after Tania talked back to her.

She then ‘lured’ Tania and her brother to her bedroom, where she used a pillow to suffocate her daughter, police said.

Police said Farrington hid Tania’s body in the trunk of her 2013 Nissan Altima until she noticed a foul odor.

Farrington then allegedly moved the child’s body early around 1am on Sunday to the dumpster in her apartment complex.

Investigators said they were able to see bruises on her arms, legs and torso, despite the child’s body beginning to decompose.

According to police, Farrington confessed to killing Tania.

Jail records did not show whether Farrington had an attorney.
